LA ÚLTIMA FOTO DE ROBERT CAPA
Gerda Taro pasaba unas breves vacaciones en París, antes de regresar a España, donde hacía el cubrimiento fotográfico de la Guerra Civil para las revistas francesas Ce Soir y Regards.
El primero de mayo de 1937, mientras compraba unos lirios, Robert Capa le hace una última foto: de perfil y sonriendo, con boina, bufanda y cartera. Quiere casarse con la pequeña rubia, la misma que cambió su antiguo nombre, André Friedmann, y en cierta forma lo transformó en legendario fotógrafo.
En el momento que la atrapó con su inseparable Leica, Robert Capa ignoraba que no volvería a verla con vida y que Fred Stein jamás volvería a retratarlos juntos.
Habían planeado festejar el cumpleaños de Gerda en París, antes del viaje de Capa a China, pero la pequeña rubia no cumplió la cita ni llegó a los veintisiete años.
Se convirtió en la primera fotógrafa muerta en un frente de combate, aplastada por un tanque de guerra. Capa le sobrevivió diecisiete años. En otro campo de batalla, en Indochina, una mina lo apartó de este mundo.

Es una historia triste de un gran hombre y .. sí que hace pensar en infinidad de tonteras que nos pasan (por lo menos a mi) por la cabeza y que resulta que no tienen tanta importancia, o por lo menos no tanta como yo le doy..
Dicen que primero tenemos que conocernos bien a nosotros mismos para no equivocarnos con nuestro destino..¿Será?
